About
With 30+ years in both the development and program sides of nonprofit management, there is little that can be thrown my way (including the incorporation of AI). I have served as Executive Director of both a local organization with a $1M budget, and a national organization with 33 affiliate sites and a shared budget of $10M.
Through my professional, consulting and volunteer experiences, I have a deep understanding of missions impacting education, disability programming, arts and culture, elderly services, and environment.
With that said, I bring a broad lens to every conversation and a deep respect for the challenges in the details of this work. The messy parts excite me the most - let's figure it out together.
Mission
Someone recently thanked me for taking time to listen to what they are trying to accomplish with their new nonprofit, and for offering to connect them with folks I know who have done similar work. To me, it was a no-brainer as I have a quiet mantra of serve more people. It’s the same sentiment that makes me flinch when a funder asks who our competitors are. Until we have eliminated the need for every nonprofit, we should be looking for partners in our work, collaborating with peer organizations, and supporting each other in every way that we can. This is what drives me.
